The British School Algiers provides a British education for 4 to 18-year olds near Gué de Constantine in Algiers.
The School follows the British curriculum with British teaching and assessment methods.
The language of instruction is English except for Arabic and French lessons. The teachers are British and Algerian.
Students will sit British Qualifications which are recognised worldwide. IGCSEs will be taken at the end of Year 11 when students are aged 16 and A levels will be taken at the end of Year 13 when students are aged18.
Students will also learn Arabic and some Algerian History and Geography and Algerian heritage and culture will be respected at all times.
If the demand for places
exceeds the number of places available, places will be offered in accordance
with the priorities set out in the Admissions Policy. Within an admission
category, priority will be given to children who have a sibling already
attending the school and then places will be offered in the order that
reservations are made.
